Fundraising Business Lunch - 13/10/2011

Our lunch on Wednesday October 12 at Adelaide Pavillion was very successful and MC Mark Aiston and guest speaker Colin Pearce were a hit!

Terry SmithCo-founder Terry Smith told us that 12% of the population are carers so a cause such as Believe Foundation is vital in giving these carers a much needed break.

To help the audience to understand more about how it feels to suffer from paranoia. Terry demonstrated with three members of the audience, with each person talking into the others ear at the same time about something different. This was to demonstrate when suffering from paranoia, how hard it is to focus when you hear other voices competing with your own thoughts.

Motivational Speaker Colin Pearce pulled up people from the audience

Colin Pearce

to cast for the new Titanic to show how people are judged on appearances eg. the older man with a beard was picked by the audience as the Captain and the good looking man the hero!

We also learn that we are our A.S.S.E.T.S. A - Appearance. S - Smiling. S - Sounding happy to help. E - Enthusiasm. T - Thank You. S - Servant heart.

We want to thank everyone who came and donated their time and money to this wonderful cause.
