Chairman - Terry Smith
Terry Founded Strata Data with his wife Diana in 1977. The Strata Data Group ranks among the most professional and largest Body Corporate Managers in Australia.
Terry is a founding member and Fellow of the Community Titles Institute (SA), has served as a council member for over 20 years, was President on three occasions, is a founding member of the National Community Titles Institute and a member of the Real Estate Institute of SA.
Terry’s passion and vision of providing quality supported accommodation for the mentally ill will ensure that this under-catered for section of our community and its needs are recognized and that plans are in place to achieve this goal.
Secretary - Diana Smith
Diana ran her own successful secretarial business before becoming joint founder of Strata Data in 1977. At this time, she served in every facet of the developing business, including client service, new business, accounts, maintenance, including running the insurance department and dealing with after hours emergency calls.
During this time, the emergence of mental health issues within the family became apparent and Diana spent many years researching the available services and organizations which were able to give assistance. Whilst travelling this journey, her desire to contribute in a positive way to assist carers and sufferers of a mental illness was born.
Treasurer - David Sanders
David is currently a partner in the Assurance Division of Ernst & Young, Adelaide where he has worked for the last 15 years, including time with predecessor firm Arthur Andersen.David is also very active in the community and is a Board Member and Treasurer of Operation Flinders, a South Australian based charitable organisation that runs a world leading wilderness adventure program for young offenders and young people at risk. A key objective of Operation Flinders is to effect a positive life change for young people at risk by improving self esteem and confidence, increasing the rate of return to education, encouraging young participants to seek employment, or positive opportunities, in their local communities.
Board Member - Paul Thompson AM
Paul brings media and communications experience at senior management and director level to the Believe Foundation Board.
In a 45 year broadcasting career launching, acquiring, developing and managing stations and networks, he was the founding Chief Executive of each of what are now the two major radio broadcasting networks in Australia - Austereo and DMG Radio/Nova. Paul was an inaugural inductee into the Commercial Radio hall of Fame and was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2004.
Board Member - Paul Smith (B.Com MAICD)
Paul joined Strata Data more than 20 years ago and is today the Chief Executive Officer of the Group. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Adelaide University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Paul is the Chairman for St Johns Youth Services, http://www.stjohnsyouthservices.org.au/index.html . St John’s Youth Services is a community based organisation that provides accommodation and related support services to homeless young people and children.
Board Member - Brett Earle (BBus (ComLaw))
Brett is the General Manager Strata Data Group and has been with the company since 2001. He has a background in the construction and hospitality sectors.
Brett is the Vice President of the CTISA www.ctisa.org.au and advises on governance matters to not for profit local Arts organisations.
